Uzma Sulaiman is the Associate Director of Community Jameel.

Uzma leads Community Jameel’s engagement with the public and private sector, galvanising support and influencing policymakers to ensure scientific breakthroughs contribute to society and policy decisions. She advised the 2025 Nutrition for Growth Summit, hosted by the French government in Paris, as a member of the International Advisory Group.

Uzma has over a decade of experience in the international development field. Prior to joining Community Jameel, Uzma spent six years at Save the Children, leading the organisation’s Middle East partnerships team and developing its strategy. While at Save the Children, she helped launch its largest humanitarian training initiative with a consortium of government and philanthropic partners across North America, Europe and the Middle East.

قبل انضمامها إلى منظمة "أنقذوا الأطفال"، قادت أوزما الاتصالات في مؤسسة اجتماعية في جنوب أفريقيا ركزت على توفير التعليم للمجتمعات النائية. بدأت أوزما مسيرتها المهنية كصحفية تعمل في بي بي سي العالمية، وكان لها دور فعال في إنشاء أول يوم عالمي للإذاعة في اليونسكو، احتفالاً بقوة الإذاعة في الصحافة.

حاصلة على ماجستير في الصحافة الدولية من جامعة سيتي في لندن، وبكالوريوس في التاريخ والسياسة من جامعة إكستر.
