كليمافور × جميل في حفل إطلاق كليمافور × جميل في RCA

The Royal College of Art (RCA), the world’s number one art and design university, and Community Jameel will launch CLIMAVORE x Jameel at RCA, a new research initiative that reimagines foodways for drylands and wetlands in partnership with Turner Prize nominees Cooking Sections on 28 March 2023.

Based in the RCA’s School of Architecture, CLIMAVORE x Jameel at RCA uses architectural and artistic investigative tools, education and action to advance ecological networks beyond current understandings of sustainability, and produce new knowledge around food and climate justice. The new partnership aims to reimagine how we eat as human activity changes the climate by developing new methodologies and enhancing policies around the globe.

CLIMAVORE x Jameel في RCA هي شراكة مدتها ثلاث سنوات ستركز على مشروعين متميزين ومترابطين، حيث ستعمل على مقربة من مواقع دراسة الحالة في تركيا وفرنسا وإيطاليا من خلال متعاونين محليين رئيسيين. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، ستقدم الشراكة تمويل زمالات بحثية للدراسات العليا لتطوير دراسات حالة خاصة بمواقع محددة مع المنظمات الثقافية والمدنية في جميع أنحاء العالم. يستكشف مشروعا CLIMAVORE x Jameel كيف يمكن تطوير أنظمة غذائية تتمحور حول الطبيعة مع المجتمعات المحلية في الأراضي الجافة والأراضي الرطبة التي تتعرض لضغوط موسمية خاصة، تفاقمت بسبب النشاط البشري على مدى قرون.

The event will be co-hosted by Dr Paul Thompson, Vice chancellor of the RCA and Fady Jameel, Vice-chairman of Community Jameel.

Principal investigators, Alon Schwabe and Daniel Fernándaz Pascual will deliver a presentation of CLIMAVORE X Jameel at RCA, followed by a discussion with Adrian Lahoud, dean of school of architecture and Emma Wakelin, director of research and innovation at RCA.
