The Jameel Arts & Health Lab and Aeon Collective host a high-level panel at the COP28 Green Zone in Dubai on 3 December in partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO) to explore the role of the arts in translating the science of climate change and its impact on human and planetary health into compelling stories with the power to influence our values and behaviours in support of the Healing Arts and WHO75 initiatives.
The event convenes global policy makers, regional cultural leaders and artists working at the intersection of arts, health and climate.
The event's panelists include Princess Mashael bint Saud Al-Shalan, Co-founder Aeon Collective; Robb Butler, Director of the division of communicable diseases, environment and health, WHO Europe; Manal Ataya, Advisor, Sharjah Museums Authority; Christopher Bailey, Co-director, Jameel Arts & Health Lab, WHO arts & health lead and Refik Anadol, artist, 'Sense of healing.'
The panel follows pre-COP28 listening sessions from a Healing Arts roundtable in New York City during the UN General Assembly (UNGA), participation in MENA Climate Week and a panel with AEON Collective's tree library during Healing Arts Arabia Week in Riyadh.
