Community Jameel, the United Nations Global Compact, the Islamic Development Bank, Ambition Loop, Goumbook and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development host a roundtable discussion at on how agricultural, climate and emissions roadmaps at the national level can leverage philanthropic and private sector resources to identify and build more resilient food system models.
The meeting will take place at the Arab Coordination Group Pavilion at the sixteenth session of the conference of the parties (COP16) of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
Supporting the Riyadh Action Agenda, this roundtable will bring together key actors from business and philanthropy to address the lack of knowledge, resources, and partnerships needed to define the needs of each country and identify the enablers the private sector can focus on.
The roundtable will be the first in a series of events uniting food systems stakeholders to deliver impacts in key countries in 2025 and identify successful models for replication in the lead-up to the UN Food Systems Summit +4 and UN Climate Change COP30 meeting.
