In this video from the Voxel Lab, located inside the Jameel Rapid Prototyping Room at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), musical innovation is explored at the intersection of experimentation, play, and serendipity. The overdriven guitar fuzz sound, now a hallmark of rock and blues, was unintentionally 'discovered' due to a tech malfunction. Inside the Voxel Lab at MIT, students have the freedom to pursue unique ideas at the convergence of music and engineering.
