The first Massachusetts Institute of Technology Climate Grand Challenges competition announced 27 finalists in the running to win USD 100,000 to develop a comprehensive research and innovation plans for climate adaptation solutions. Among the finalists is the project 'Reinventing climate change adaptation – The Climate Resilience Early Warning System (CREWSnet)', led by Professor Elfatih Eltahir, advisory committee member of Community Jameel and co-director of the Jameel Observatory-CREWSnet, alongside John Aldridge.
