Egyptian National Women's Council 'Tahwesha' programme targets 1.2 million women in all governorates within three years
Egypt's National Council for Women announced an upcoming study by the Egypt Impact Lab, in partnership with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Middle East and North Africa (J-PAL MENA), to measure the impact of 'Tahwesha', its digital savings and lending programme. The 'Tahwesha' programme aims to enhance financial inclusion for Egyptian women, particularly in rural villages, by providing them with digital financial services, integrating them into the official banking system, and raising financial awareness and digital literacy among women.
