Gujarat Pollution Control Board to start emission trading in Ahmedabad

Gujurat Pollution Control Board is to start an emission trading system in Ahmedabad, following a successful pilot in Surat where 355 factories are now active in emission trading. A similar scheme will be rolled out in Narol and Vatva, Ahmedabad with the help of researchers from the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago, Yale University, and a team from the Abdul Latif Jameel poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
