La ministra Saiz y el Nobel de Economía, Abhijit Banerjee, presentan los resultados del Laboratorio de Políticas de Inclusión

Co-founder and co-director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, Abhijit Banerjee, and Elma Saiz, the Spanish Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, discussed the results of the Ministry's Inclusion Policy Lab in a panel event titled 'The Inclusion Policy Laboratory: The scientific evidence at the service of people.' The conversation focused on the results of a pilot programme of randomised evaluations launched by the Ministry in order to understand how to improve inclusion policies.

In his analysis of the pilot, Abhijit highlighted the importance of a minimum income to address poverty and exclusion, and stated that “it is essential to work on accessibility so that the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) application process is as easy as possible, and that Spain has the necessary knowledge to continue doing what needs to be done in the fight against poverty.”
