Re-opening of Çamuralem Muhallebicisi, designed by Cooking Sections for the 17th Istanbul Biennial

Wallowland (Çamuralem), a Muhallebicisi (buffalo milk dessert shop) originally designed by Cooking Sections, as one of the participants in the 17th Istanbul Biennial in 2022, has reopened its doors at a new location in Istanbul, hosted by Ek Biç Ye İç. The reopening is part of a long-term research project conducted by CLIMAVORE x Jameel at the Royal College of Art in London (RCA) focusing on the preservation of wetlands, which have been the home and habitat of Istanbul's buffalo for centuries. At the opening of the pudding shop in Kurtuluş, Istanbul, Cooking Sections founders Daniel Pascual Fernández and Alon Schwabe, alongside Anadolu Meadows, Yasemin Kireç and Evrim Çoksözler, talked about wetlands and biodiversity in and around Istanbul and shared the current outputs of their research.
