Susan Magsamen is a steering committee member of the Jameel Arts & Health Lab and founder and executive director of the International Arts + Mind Lab (IAM Lab), Centre for Applied Neuroaesthetics, an initiative from the Pedersen Brain Science Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is also an assistant professor of neurology at Johns Hopkins.

An award-winning author, Magsamen has published eight books including 'Your brain on art: How the arts transform us', co-authored with Ivy Ross, vice president of design for hardware at Google.
Susan holds a masters in communications and business from Johns Hopkins.
