Hospitals and art institutions call on the Dutch government to expand the presence of arts and culture in healthcare. Christopher Bailey, co-founder of the Jameel Arts and Health Lab and the arts and health lead at at the World Health Organisation (WHO), authored a 2019 report for the organisation, outlining the scientific evidence for the impact of arts on health. Speaking at an arts in health symposium held in Groningen, Christopher notes, "Evidence-based medicine is a ticket to talking to doctors," adding that while art may not be the cure, "it makes you see a path forward."
