RED NOSES announces a new collabration with the Jameel Arts and Health Lab and the World Health Organisation regional office for Europe to explore the impact of healthcare clowning in Lesvos, Greece, from 2025-2027.
A pioneering research study will evaluate the effectiveness of the clowns’ artistic interventions on the wellbeing and social connectedness of unaccompanied minors and aid workers supporting forced migrants.
Lesvos has experienced a surge in refugees since 2024, with studies showing that up to 87% of refugees experience anxiety, depression and related symptoms.
Alongside the pressure and stress placed on aid workers, this demonstrates the need for enhanced psychosocial support that the collaboration hopes to provide.
