Community Jameel Saudi Arabia and Bab Rizq Jameel launch the seventh annual edition of StartSmart, an entrepreneurial competition held in Saudi Arabia with the aim of empowering entrepreneurs to innovate, expand and create local jobs.

Community Jameel Saudi Arabia, a member of the Jameel Global Learning Lab network at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, announced the launch of the seventh edition of the “StartSmart” entrepreneurship competition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is co-organized by Bab Rizq Jameel. This annual competition is one of the oldest entrepreneurship competitions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the most distinguished at the regional level. It aims to strengthen the Saudi entrepreneurship system, empower entrepreneurs and encourage them to innovate, increase the number of small and medium enterprises, and contribute to providing new jobs in the local market.
Registration for the competition opens on April 27 and continues until June 16 on the competition’s website. Participation will be available to Saudi entrepreneurs of all ages and economic sectors within one of the competition’s four tracks: the ideas track, the startups track, the social companies track, and the newly launched environment track. For the first time. The organizers will hold a series of introductory tours in Saudi cities to familiarize entrepreneurs with the criteria and mechanisms for applying for the competition and to help them complete their applications.
Teams participating in the four tracks of the competition will receive many advantages and benefits, such as receiving high-level training from the most prominent entrepreneurship experts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as participating in special sessions for guidance, counselling, and individual education, the possibility of appearing on the media, and providing networking and building opportunities. Relationships and communication between entrepreneurs, investors, business incubators, senior leaders and executives from the private and government sectors, within a five-month journey full of excitement and challenges. The twelve winning teams in the four competition tracks will be awarded lucrative financial prizes, in addition to a group of other benefits that will be announced later.
