Egypt's Cultural Development Fund and the Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London has announced the open call to apply for the 15th annual Jameel House of Traditional Arts in Cairo diploma programme.
Opened in 2009 in Fustat, historic Cairo, the Jameel House is a collaboration between The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, Community Jameel, and the Cultural Development Fund of Egypt, with a mission to preserve and champion Egypt’s oldest crafts. Each year, the Jameel House diploma trains a cohort of students over a two-year period in traditional crafts such as carpentry, wood veneer, stained glass, copper and ceramics. Applications for the 15th open call remain open until 23 August 2023.
