The Holistic AI for Medicine (HAIM) framework, led by Dimitris Bertsimas, artificial intelligence (AI) and health entrepreneurship faculty lead at MIT Jameel Clinic, 14 doctors from Hartford Healthcare presented their projects to MIT doctoral students with the aim of determining how AI could be implemented to make the projects more efficient.
The initiative brings data scientists and healthcare professionals together to apply AI to healthcare. AI is becoming an increasingly valuable tool in healthcare, supporting various tasks including patient processing and disease prediction. The MIT students will work on the projects, which cover a diverse array of medical specialities including neurology, cardiology, orthopaedics and psychiatry.
