As part of a wider early childhood development programme to develop children's services in Egypt, including the quality of children's education and the capabilities of nursery teachers, the Ministry of Social Solidarity has implemented advanced training courses for nursery services providers in Beni Suef governorate.
These trainings, which will also take place in Minya, Assiut, Luxor and Gharbia, aim to boost nursery development, capacity-building for teachers, and improve overall child learning outcomes, and are being implemented in cooperation with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Middle East and North Africa (J-PAL MENA) and the Egyptian Food Bank. Beni Suef is the launch location of the training courses, which targeted 19 nurseries and their staff in order to hone their teaching skills and practices.
