The 2nd International Forum on Poverty Reduction, held in Uzbekistan, has concluded, having discussed a wide range of issues and proposals for poverty alleviation in developing countries. Abhijit Banerjee, co-founder and co-director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), gave an address at the forum, highlighting the progress made by Uzbekistan in terms of domestic poverty reduction despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, an uncertain global economy, and other destabilizing world events.
