COVID-19 left education systems that were already struggling even further from the goal of achieving quality education standards. However, as pointed out by most of the 220 professors affiliated with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, in a report by the SSIR, now is not the time to be crying over spilled milk. The key takeaway from the poll is that whatever metrics, expectations and goals were pushed forward before the pandemic, all of them must now be revisited, overhauled and made more realistic in view of the new normal.
